Residents are encouraged to continue their life long hobbies and interests at Beech Lodge Nursing Home. Some of the more popular activities are detailed below.
Music
Monday is music day, with musical entertainment in the Dome or weather permitting in the gardens. Musical requests are always welcome as are visitors and the extended community each Monday afternoon.
Bingo
Residents enjoy our weekly bingo with novel prizes for the winners
Cards
Card playing is enjoyed by both residents, families and care staff alike.
Arts and Crafts
Residents enjoy such activities as painting, colouring, needlework, card making and pottery.
Exercise with Music
This invigorating session caters for everybody’s needs. Both residents and carers look forward to this exercise program each week.
Meditation
Meditation group of resident’s meet weekly in the Oratory and is facilitated by local priest.
Cookery
Weekly cookery sessions are enjoyed by residents, when they get an opportunity to practice their culinary skills.
Gardening
Beech Lodge has extensive and beautiful gardens. Residents are welcome to assist with planting and potting both indoor and outdoor.
Walking and Picnics
Residents are encouraged to enjoy the walks and nature trails within the Beech Lodge Nursing home surrounds. Weather permitting picnics are held within the garden areas.
Day Trips
Residents attend a monthly Active Age Social in Bruree local community hall and are encouraged to actively participate in community events. During the summer months day trips are organised to areas such as Lough Gur, Museums, and places of local interest.
