Reception
Our reception and nurses station has been centrally placed in our home and is a lively hub for all activity. It is bright and airy with a huge amount of natural light provided by roof lights. Upon entering the Nursing Home, you will be welcomed into a warm and happy environment.
Living Room
The Dome is our main sitting room, which has been immaculately decorated with high-quality materials and wooden flooring. A bright and airy room with specialised seating, residents are comfortably nested around coffee tables for reading, chatting, rest and relaxation. Quieter sitting rooms and a bright conservatory are also available for the use of residents and visitors. All our rooms have been designed with the aid of an interior designer with relaxing colour plans specifically chosen for the older person.
Visitors may avail of our Guest Sitting Room, if they wish to have some personal and private space with their loved one. Visitors are always greeted with a range of light refreshments and friendly welcome here at Beech Lodge.
Bedrooms
We offer a mix of spacious single and double accommodation and all bedrooms are complete with fully tiled en-suite facilties inclusive of shower, toilet and wash basin. All of our bedrooms have many additional features and have been carefully created by interior designers. Each room has co-ordinated duvets, quilt covers, curtains, paint colours and flooring. The mattresses on the beds have pressure relieving properties, and various grades apply according to the needs of an individual following assessment. Our rooms also contain specialist equipment as required, i.e., hoists (two types), wheelchair, reclining chair, relaxation chairs, shower chairs (standard and reclining), commodes, etc. Additionally our residents have access to a variety of facilities including a nurse call system, TV set and telephone point. The rooms have a garden view and their comfortable decor is conducive to an atmosphere of relaxation and comfort.
Low Low Beds - A number of bedrooms have low-low beds that are electrically placed near the floor and are considered to be the best and safest beds on the market at the moment. All research shows that if a resident falls their injuries are significantly decreased by a fall of low magnitude, hence making these beds invaluable for some of our residents who have been assessed as having a requirement for these.
We have now provided our new Rehabilitation Unit with a self-service cafe for tea, coffee, cakes, scones and biscuits. We maintain a well-stocked fridge and everybody is welcome including residents, visitors, and family guests.We also have a special care room located beside the Nurses Station. This room is available for an overnight stay if so required by residents families.
Dining Room
Our dining room is bright, spacious and welcoming to enable comfortable dining in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.
Oratory
An oratory is provided for use by the residents for moments of quite prayer and meditation. A meditation group is held weekly with the help of our local priest.
Disabled Bathroom
A number of fully fitted disabled bathrooms are also available within Beechlodge Nursing Home.
NEW BUILDING!!
Here at Beech Lodge, we have just built on a large new extension, which will provide 26 extra beds offering general and specialised care. These rooms are private or sharing, ensuite, complete with multi channel tv.
RETIREMENT VILLAGE :
In addition to this, we have also consrtuced a Retirement Village for the active retired who wish to fulfil their mature years. These houses are 1 & 2 bedroomed units complete with kitchen, bathroom and sitting room / dining room. These houses come fully furnished and offer all the services and facilties of the adjacent Beech Lodge Nursing Home. These houses are available for rent, lease or purchase.
